Caribbean Hub FAQ

Pre-Training

How do I get access to training?

To access training, you must first register for the session you would like to attend using the link provided. You must make sure that agree to both our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice, by selecting these boxes. If you do not agree to both, you will not receive a link to attend the training.

On the day of the training, please ensure that the name you used to register for the training matched the name on your Zoom screen. If there is a discrepancy it will cause delays as we have to ensure that only registered participants have access to the training.  These articles here and here provide helpful guide for name changes. If you have a shared zoom account, it is possible to temporarily change your display name before logging in.

Please ensure that you log onto the training using the link provided, as promptly to ensure that we can keep to timings on our training session and to be respectful of your fellow participants.

No. We kindly ask that those who receive the links to the training session do not share them. We use the registration list to ensure that only those who have signed up are granted access to the training

On the Day Training FAQs

Is training closed captioned?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer training with closed captions at this juncture. We are actively looking for platforms that have this feature embedded so that we can make our training more accessible.

Can I attend late?

We have a grace period of 15 minutes for all of our training sessions, which may be extended at the discretion of our team. If you do not join within this timeframe, it is unlikely that you will be able to attend, this is to minimise distractions to both facilitators and participants and also to try and ensure the same learning experience quality for all of our participants and yourself. Our sessions are designed to build upon concepts and ideas and you may have missed key information, insights and discussions, if you join the session late.  We plan on running multiple of the same session so please look out for our future dates.

I am running late for training who do I contact?

Please contact caribbeanhub@princestrustinternational.org we will then advise you of the best course of action. If you end up missing a session, please do not stress as it will likely be offered again in the future.

Will the training be recorded?

At this time, we will not be recording training due to privacy and data protection concerns.

I am having technical difficulties! Who do I contact?

As best as we try and avoid them, this is inevitable. If you are having difficulties logging on or with your connection status, please email: caribbeanhub@princestrustinternational.org.  As we are using zoom, you may be able to dial into the meeting using your local number, this local access information will be made available to you via your training confirmation email.  Please note that Zoom generates local numbers and not all countries/regions will have this feature available.

I registered but I was not let into the session.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. You may not have been let into the session because your Zoom display name did not match any of our records, or because you did not complete your registration for the training session. Remember to complete your registration you must agree to both the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice. You may not have been let on because you attempted to log onto training after our entry window closed. We kindly ask that if you are running late to training to get in touch with us at caribbeanhub@princestrustinternational.org, so that we can advise you.

If you do not feel that any of the following applied to you; please contact caribbeanhub@princestrustinternational.org  with full details of the incident including your name, name of training session, date and time and information on the problem.

Post Training

Will I receive anything to demonstrate my participation in the training?

Yes, everyone will receive a certificate of attendance for each completed session. As we are a small team, please allow a minimum of 10 business days after your training session to receive your Certificate of Attendance before contacting us.

Will training materials be shared?

In most cases, training PowerPoints will not be shared. We will endeavour to share training worksheets which will have the key takeaways in a given session, where possible.  If you are able to, we recommend taking notes?

Is completing the survey mandatory?

No. As this is a part of our pilot, we are eager to learn from your experience and insights. We kindly ask that you complete the post-training survey for each session you attend and the post-pilot surveys.

How will feedback be gathered?

We will send out online surveys after every training session, which you can fill out to let us know how you found the session you attend. We will also send out a survey at the end of each pilot phase cycle to learn from your experience. If you have any suggestions that you feel will improve the experience, please email caribbeanhub@princestrustinternational.org.
