Discover the Possibilities: A Creative Masterclass

Would you like to learn more about a creative career? Do you know someone who might benefit from discovering more about this industry? Join Prince’s Trust International and Prince’s Trust Canada for an online creative masterclass to ‘discover the possibilities’.   

Discover the Possibilities will take place on March 2, 2022 from 2:00pm – 5:00pm AST (6:00pm – 9:00pm GMT, 1:00pm – 4:00pm EST). The event will be hosted by Ayo Akinwolere, a broadcaster and presenter in the United Kingdom who hosted long-time children’s programme, Blue Peter.  

Aimed at those under the age of 30, the session will bring together young people and experts from the Caribbean and Canada, who will have the opportunity to join in with two of the four masterclasses hosted by one of our experts, before participating in an interactive panel session.  

Why Join?  

This will be an opportunity to strengthen your understanding on the variety of opportunity in creative industry, the skills needed to get there, and how to best prepare to achieve longevity in these industries. Over the afternoon you will:

  • Learn what skills are needed to succeed in the creative industry 
  • Learn how to ‘break into’ these Industries

Meet The Experts! 

Derron Sandy: 

Derron was born in 1987 in Maloney, Trinidad and Tobago. He per-formed his first poem in 2009 and has been a full time performance poet since 2014. He uses the art form to create solutions for education, entertainment and entrepreneurship. 

Judi Lopez: 

Judi Lopez is the founder and Project director of KeepRockinYou. She has actively been involved in the Hip Hop Culture and dancing since the early 2000’s. Since Returning to Toronto from South Korea and the UK, Judi has been committed to the development of the B-girl community by starting the project The Toronto B-Girl Movement in 2012. Judi has danced for Rihanna and was a featured character in Lost Girl Canadian series. 

Lauren Ince 

Lauren Ince is the founder and managing director of Studio 5 Creative in Barbados. Studio 5 is an award winning branding and activation agency with the mission of turning businesses into modern, experiential brands that consumers genuinely want to be a part of.  

Patrick Hunter: 

Patrick Hunter is a 2 Spirit Ojibway artist, graphic designer, and entrepreneur from Red Lake, Ontario. In 2011, he made the move to Toronto to pursue a career in the arts after completing the graphic design program at Sault College in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He is best known for his paintings in the Woodland art style, but is also making a name for himself in the corporate world through artistic and graphic collaborations.
