Our Response to COVID-19

Now more than ever, young people need our support. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our young people, our colleagues, delivery partners and supporters. As soon as we are able, Prince’s Trust International is determined to help young people around the world to recover from this global crisis, by helping them to continue their journey from education to employment. As part of our response, we plan to enhance and accelerate our ability to support young people through digital channels across the globe. Please let us know if you can join this vital online effort.

As an international charity, we are actively and continuously reviewing the very dynamic Coronavirus situation in all 13 countries where we support young people through our delivery partners (Greece, Malta, Serbia; Jordan; Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya; Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados; India, Pakistan, Malaysia).

Millions of global youth are now being affected by the anxiety caused by COVID-19. Their education is being disrupted, their families are under stress; and youth unemployment – which was already a key global challenge before this global pandemic – is now likely to get worse.

We are taking vital decisions to prepare for the future:

Our current delivery: With our delivery partners, we have taken the difficult but necessary decision to suspend all face-to-face support for young people on Prince’s Trust International programmes across the world. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully with our partners in all the countries where we operate.

Our future delivery: We are determined to be there for young people, to help them build their futures both during and after this global crisis. Given the rapidly-changing external environment, we will take some time now to reshape and reprofile our delivery with our partners in the countries where together we support young people.

Our digital offer: We plan to enhance and accelerate our ability to support young people through digital channels across the globe. We are actively looking for key partners and relationships to make this a reality. Please reach out to us if you are able to support us.
